Thanks to cold plasma technology or NTP (non thermal plasma), Vitoclima 230-S is able to reduce the presence of pathogens in the environment by up to 90% in just 2 hours.
NTP technology does not introduce chemical substances into the air, but is based on the natural process of ionisation (plasma is an ionised gas, in this case air), which is carried out cold, i.e. through the action of an oscillating electric field that causes an increase in the kinetic energy of the molecules.
As they collide, they lose or gain electrons and become ions. Ionised oxygen molecules have the ability to damage the cell membranes of viruses and bacteria, annihilating them.
