With the persistent rise in energy bills, the pellet stove is becoming an increasingly attractive choice for many Italian families. However, the initial cost of purchasing and installing a pellet stove can be a significant obstacle for many. But there is good news: in 2023, it is possible to take advantage of various state bonuses and incentives to make the purchase of a pellet stove more accessible while also contributing to environmental sustainability.

Bonuses available in 2023

Fortunately, in 2023, there are several opportunities for state bonuses and incentives that can help mitigate the costs associated with the purchase and installation of a biomass stove.

Ordinary Eco-Bonus

The Ordinary Eco-Bonus is a tax incentive that allows for a 50% discount if energy system retrofitting is carried out or a 65% discount if these interventions involve the entire building. To benefit from the deduction on your income tax return, the pellet stove or fireplace must ensure an energy efficiency of over 85% and have an environmental certification of 4 or 5 stars, depending on whether it is a replacement or a new installation.

Renovation Bonus

The renovation bonus is another tool that can be used to cover part of the costs associated with the installation of a pellet stove. This bonus is intended for building renovation projects that include energy efficiency improvements.

GSE Incentive

The GSE (Energy Services Manager) offers incentives for energy production from renewable sources, including pellet stoves. This incentive can help reduce the stove’s operating costs over time.

110% Superbonus

The 110% Superbonus is an exceptional incentive that covers 110% of the costs incurred for energy efficiency work. If you are considering a more extensive renovation of your home, this bonus could also cover the installation of a pellet heater.
